Revisiting one of the lesser-celebrated UR 12"s from the late 90s, this Redux takes one of Mad Mike's deeper offerings as The Hostile and lets DJ Skurge get busy with a couple of the cuts to bring them up to date. "Ambush" is driven by bumping hats and those quintessential keys you'd expect from Mr. Banks, while "Scalper" is a droney and minimal tool with a healthy dose of weird about it. "Silicon Saigon" rolls around in thick wads of phaser for a wholly otherworldly techno jam, and "Burning Spear" takes rolling bongos and haunting pads for a ride into dark and undulating territory.
