Isolee 'Beau Mot Plage' (Remixes)

$25.99

While Isolee has made many wondrous records over the years, none have landed quite as much as 'Beau Mot Plage', a 1998 micro-house classic in which blissful, undulating electronic melodies and flashes of Afro-jazz guitar rise and fall around a sparse, infectious groove. This 12" reissue rightly begins with the superior 'Heaven & Earth Re-Edit' by Luke Solomon and Rob Mello, before platforming the work of then unknown remixer Anu Pillai AKA Freeform Five. His epic flip-side revision remains one of the most insane and freewheeling reworks of all time - a near 11-minute epic full of fresh instrumentation and vocalisations that joins the dots between Brazilian jazz-funk, micro-house and Masters at Work's Nuyorican Soul project. This time round, it's backed by the Idjut Boys later, delay-laden re-edit of the remix's most percussive sections.
